Noodles in Chinatown Bangkok

A bowl of noodle soup in Bangkok Chinatown.
Accompanied by an iced tea. Delicious and cheap. There are many food carts on some of the streets. It gets busy on the weekend there. Beautiful fresh fish, noodles and deep fried delicacies.

I love the street life in Thailand and especially in Bangkok. Stalls and food carts and busy until late at night.
China town also has shoe shops where they will hand make shoes for you.

TWG Teashop and   Restaurant at Emporium shopping centre

Mmm...Normandy Apple tart with vanilla and Earl Grey ice-cream accompanied by Darjeeling first flush tea.

TWG has several restaurants in Bangkok and elsewhere in Asia. My waitress informed me they had about 400 different teas. They have a good menu doing full meals, desserts and high teas. The service is great as it generally is in more upmarket places in Thailand.

....and the apple tart was perfect!

Promoting safe sex and HIV / AIDS awareness with fantastic food to boot.

Chaw muang is an amazing looking starter.Steamed purple coloured dumplings filled with BBQ pork.

Phu lon ( crab and cocnut dip with Thai herbs) served with vegetable crudite, was great too, as was the chicken, coconut and galangal soup and Pad kraa pow gai ( stir fried chicken with chilli and basil).

The menu is big, with photos of all the dishes to make your choice a bit easier.

At the end of the meal, instead of an after dinner mint, they give you an after dinner condom.

Great food and service, beautiful outdoor dining area and interesting light shades and other objects made from condoms. There is also a gift shop.
